I second this opinion. I’ve been bed-ridden several months, and I have felt my muscles “collapsing” from disuse. I had especially felt it all down my backside. It’s a heavy sensation, and like a pillow is being pushed hard against my back. Not pleasant. But the worst is that one day I felt my throat collapse. Simply collapse. Ever since, I wake up with my throat structures stuck together, and I’m trying to suck air through a vacuum. It also affects my speech ability as it feels like a vacuum forms at the back of my throat while speaking. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea years ago, but had never felt anything remotely like this before. But could it be apnea? It could possibly be a much worse version than I’m use to, I suppose. Have not seen a doctor yet; I’m trying exercise first.
