11 days following my tonsillectomy and adenoid surgery, I had to be taken to ER for an emergency surgery to stop the bleeding from both sides of my throat where the tonsils once were. The doctor applied pressure, sealed and then had to repeat the exercise. I puked blood, blood was in my intestines and it was a horrible experience. I am now on day 5 since the event. I am quite nervous about recurrence. My doctor told me I had a 1 in 50 chance the first time and now I have a 1 in 100 chance of repeat. What can I do to prevent recurrence?

There is not much you can do. Try taking plenty of vitamin C (you may drink those 1000mg solubile tablets) and also some calcium tablets (you can also find solubile Ca tablets) . They both help improving your coagulation. Good luck!
