I have a tonsillectomy scheduled for April 5. I have a one year old and a three year old. My husband will be home for 4 days and then I am on my own. Will this be long enough?

Hello and I just asked my husband and he said NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He said I felt good up until the 4th day and had alittle set back due to thrush due to not eating or drinking or swallowing!
I would not recommend it at all.
I had a good recovery but it is surgery and you will feel groggy and you will be in pain and discomfort not borrowing any problems.
Seek someone to come in and help you all day while hubby is gone.
You won't want to push yourself or put you or your children in a bad position. You know how moms are: guilt and stuff and doing things anyway!
Keep in touch Ill check in with ya! You will be fine but you need to follow drs orders! DRINK, SWALLOW, CHEW. REST. EAT. REST. DRINK ALOT!!!

Well thanks for the response.... I didn't have the surgery! A week before it was scheduled I found out I was pregnant again. My doc said he would not do the tonsillectomy since I was pregnant. Well I guess it will be at least another year before I can get it done :-(
