i am a 20 year old female. about 7 months ago when i had sex with my ex-boyfriend afterwards the left side of my body was numb and i couln't move my hand or my fingers for like 10 minutes. it was also kind of hard to talk due to the fact that the left side of my face was numb. this has happened before that in the past, but it wasn't as bad. i could move my hand and everthything else, just the left side of my body felt kind of numb and it was kind of hard to talk. i've never told anyone about this and i am afraid to and embarrased. i just don't understand why this has been happening to me because i don't have any health problems. however, i am a smoker(less than a pack a day) and i occasionally drink. can someone please tell me what might be wrong with me.

Are you on any form of birth control? Because I know that smoking while on certain birth control drugs can lead to blood clots, which lead to strokes - which sounds alot like what you experienced. Strokes often cause paralysis/numbness to one half of the body. The physical exertion of sex could have caused a clot to break loose and travel to your brain. if the symptoms wore off, it clearly wasn't a major stroke, but it's still troubling because you've experienced this before. Recent studies have shown that people who have mini-strokes are much more likely to have major ones.
I hope i'm wrong, but better safe than dead - i think you need to get to a doctor soon.

Man that just sounds like you was high asf, that's nothing to worry about. Maybe check into a doctor some time soon, don't take my word for it, but I'm pretty sure you're fine. sh*t happens to me sometimes, and when I smoke it just intensifies the feeling.
