I've had unexplained pain for about a month now. It started as bladder, urethra and lower back pain. It's a constant, dull pain and not a sharp or burning pain. It doesn't hurt any more or less to urinate. I didn't think it was likely but I got a full 10 panel std screening and it came back all negative.
I went to urgent care and was diagnosed with a UTI. The doctor said my urine tested positive for blood. My urine was not cloudy and didn't have an odor. He prescribed a 10 day course of Cipro antibiotics.
After about a week the antibiotics did nothing. I was no longer having lower back pain but now noticed pain that seems to come from my testicles. I went to see my primary doctor. He said the original urine test and a follow up one showed no blood, no signs of infection and nothing out of the ordinary and that the original doctor was mistaken. The only thing he could think of that it would be was prostatitis. He performed a prostate exam with his finger. He did not feel anything out of the ordinary and when he put pressure on the prostate I didn't have a lot of pain. He said that if it was prostatitis that I would not tolerate him doing that so he is out of ideas of what it could be.
If that's not bad enough, I also recently developed a very painful hemorrhoid. I had a thought that maybe the hemorrhoid pain was radiating out and seeming to come from other sources but I didn't notice the hemorrhoid until weeks after symptoms started.
I have an appointment with a urologist to investigate further but the soonest they could see me is still two weeks out. Does anyone have any idea of what this could be?
