I have been on birth control for about a year and a half. I have never missed any pills and I always take them about the same time every night. Also, I take them continuously and I never take the last week of pills, as I am trying to not have a period. I take Sprintec which is generic for Ortho Cyclen, I believe.
I had sex on January 18th and my boyfriend did not use a condom. He did not ejaculate at all during sex because were we having sex on the floor pretty much and it was quite uncomfortable for both of us and we had to stop. lol! We have not had sex since then.
Tonight, I have been having almost flu like symptoms (a little nausea, slight fever, body pains all over, weakness all over my body, some stomach cramps, and I am really tired). I had some of these same symptoms, but worse, on January 20th. The next day, January 21st, I was pretty much better. I didn't have a fever but my stomach was a little upset. However, I drank ginger ale and that helped. Up until tonight, I have been fine and I have not had any more of those flu like symptoms.
I believe it is too soon for me to take a pregnancy test since it has not been three weeks since I had sex, yet. I keep reading that you should wait at least three weeks after sex to take an at home pregnancy test and for it to be more accurate.
One huge problem I have is that I bleed constantly and I have for about a year now. I have been to the doctor before and she has told me to continue taking my birth control pills and I should stop bleeding. That was back in November of 2009. There is still no change. Because of this, I can not tell if I have missed a period or not. There does not seem to be a change with the bleeding, though. And I know that bleeding can be common when pregnant.
I have no idea what to do. I am very nervous because I do not want a child, but I am trying not to stress over it too much. I really have no one to talk to about this either. I want to say something to my boyfriend about it, but I kind of want to wait until I take a test and know if I am pregnant or not. I do not want him to be freaked out and nervous like I am until I know something.
I have also read that becoming pregnant from precum while taking birth control pills is very unlikely.
So do I just have some kind of a bug again or could I be pregnant?
