I am 28 years old and have a urethral prolapse.

However, no doctor knows why this is happening to me as it's only seen in post-menopausal women and pre-pubescent girls. I have no children, no health problems, no history of abnormal pap smears, no history of urethral problems. Basically, I'm as healthy as can be.

I've been searching and searching for any other young woman who has experienced this problem. Has anyone here experienced it or have any info, I would love to hear from you !

Thanks!

Hi, I was diagnosed with a urethral prolapse or caruncle (they aren't positive) last year at age 29. Since estrogen cream helped with the pain and irritation I asked my dr to switch me to a birth control pill with more estrogen and the symptoms got MUCH better. Unfortunately the new pills gave me some unhappy side effects and I was switched to a different formulation of BCP and my symptoms have returned. I use the estrace cream every day to every other day.

I am 24 and was just told that i had a Urethral Prolapse. I have never had kids and am physically very active....which may be a reason for the prolapse. The estrogen cream i am applying has made it go down significantly. I am wondering if yours went away with the cream. My urogyn doc said that it will resolve on its own usually. If it doesnt, than it can be surgically excised. Its been about a week and a half and I am now feeling pain in my groin/leg area. How can I get this to go away!??

I'm 30 y/o and was just diagnosed as well. Same: never been pregnant, healthy body weight, no health issues. I'm also very physically active. My gyn said my prolapse was 'within normal range' so there wasn't anything he gave me to treat it. But I'm still worried about it getting worse with sex, time, etc.
