I am 18 years old and in a steady 2 year relationship and sexually active and use birth control but not regularly unfortunately. The other day i pissed and went to flush and noticed that there was thin, paper like substance floating in the toilet. (but there was alot of it....whatever it was) I have no clue what it was but I think it came out when i was peeing, could this be a sign or pregnancy? or an STD?
please help, I'm real concerned.
Thanks
Katie

Have you noticed something strange happening inside of your organism lately?
What you stated is pretty hard to diagnose without having got answers on various questions which would make the job easier. So first of all, I think this can’t be having anything to do with pregnancy, but if you have some doubts (concerning you haven’t been taking the pill regularly), and if you miss your period you do the test and you’ll know whether you are pregnant or not.
But I believe this could be some urinary infection what you have. Although I have never heard anyone having these paperlike stuff in the urine (are you sure it wasn’t there before you sat on the loo???) you should pay attention to some other symptoms, such as blood in urine, a mild fever, frequent urinating, burning while urinating etc. If you notice something of these symptoms, you don’t hesitate and rush to your gynecologist!!!
