I am 26 years old. I have been having very painful periods for close to a year now so my gyn sent me for an ultrasound. The tech let is slip that she did see some cysts, but also told me that probably wasn't the cause of the pain. Then when she was doing the internal ultrasound she turned the screen away from me and then wouldn't tell me any more. My dr did say that my uterus was enlarged during my exam. The only thing that I have been able to find about enlarged uterus is fibroids. Is there anything else that could be the cause of all this? Can you have fibroids without having the heavy periods that I have been reading about.? I know I will be finding this stuff out in a day or two, it's just driving me crazy waiting to hear.
