Hey Girls, I have uterine fibroids not one but several for eight years now. They have really not caused any problems. No heavy bleeding or anything. I have done arobics four times a week and kickboxing twice a week so I have been in pretty good shape for 50. I got married about four months ago and did not have much time for the gym. Now my lower back hurts and I am sore in the bottom part of my spine. That soreness came after I went to see a chiro for the lower back. I have not had a period in a year so my guess there is that I have started menopause. The pain in my lower back radiates down into my buttocks and my right leg. I wake up in so much pain but then we I get up it stops hurting and aching. I am also stiff in the mornings. I had an x-ray done and the doc said I did not have osteo, which I am thankful for. I go to my gyno on friday for my regular yearly. Has anyone out there had these symptoms with fibroids, I feel certain that It is due to them as well as menopause. Thanks!

I have severe lower back pain that gets increasing worse a week before my period and then stops on day 1 of my period. I'm 49 and not sure when I will go through menopause (no symtoms yet). I'm sure the fibroids are causing if not only contributing to my lower back pain which on some days radiate down my hips and legs. Some days even very strong meds don't do a thing for the pain.
