Well, the thing is that you probably misspelled the word. I believe you meant uticaria. I can explain in a few words to you. It is the same thing as hives. It is hives actually. They are caused by a specific stimulus. It is a red, spongy lesion that evolves over minutes to hours. The area is usually surrounded by redness. Hives can differ from one another in size from very small to giants. Pressing on a hive can cause the skin to blanch and in that way you know it is not a bruise or papule. If it is present for less than 6 week, it is acute, if longer that it is chronic.
