Vaginal blisters/open sores

For the past few days I have been dealing with a great deal of discomfort in my lower area. It all started with a severe itch in which I actually broke the skin. I began treating my symptoms as a yeast infection as both sides of my vagina became swollen and sores appeared where I had previously scratched. I have been treating them using an OTC medication for yeast infection and they seem to have improved a little. It was painful to walk for a few days and I occasionally feel a burning sensation such as when I urinate. Today I noticed that a few tiny blisters had formed around the open sores (which are now covered by some pus-like film). The tiny blisters pop very easily and are new open sores. I also have swollen and tender lymph nodes on my upper thigh/vulva area. I just recently got over an upper respiritory infection which I read somewhere can sometimes lead to this? I am freaking out because all of my symptoms point to herpes. I am sexually active but as far as I know both of my past and present partner are not infected with any type of STD. I plan on seeing the doctor tomorrow but I was hoping someone could offer an information that would help ease my nerves.
