I am 17 years old, and I have always had a light white creamy discharge, with a small barley noticeable odor. The odor gets a bit worse after my period for about three days. My gynocologist never said about it when I went, but it worries me. Is it normal or should I go see a doctor?

Its completely normal to have vaginal discharge and, as you said yourself, it does tend to get different depending on which part of your menstrual cycle are you. Vaginal discharge is basically a mix of shed cells and watery substance which should protect your uterus and vagina. But, if the discharge comes with itching and swelling of the vaginal area, it could definitely be the sign of some infection. So, I think that if you have the opportunity, you should check this with your doctor - if you already haven't done the tests for STDs, but there definitely isn't anything to be overly worried about.
