Im 16 years old nearly 17 and i went out with a guy for a long time. i made up many excuses for my boyfriend not to see my vagina for quite a while as i was too embarressed and depressed about the fact that my inner vagina lips are alot longer than my outter lips and are darker on the ends and wrinkly. i hate it and it brings my self esteem down alot. i now am going out with a new guy and have to go through the whole thing again, which i REALLY dont want to.
Does anyone else have this problem or am i the only one? is there anything at all i can do to shorten them other than operation??

Well if the other guy was fine with it, then if its meant to be with the new guy there shouldnt be a problem. I had a problem with my legs and it took me about 3 months to pluck up the courage to show my bf. We broke up...but after around a year's break I realised I could never be as comfortable with it as i was with him. We got back together and are now getting married in June :-)

I have the same problem. i'm 27 and you just have to learn to be comfortable with it though it make take time. Some guys actually prefer it because they believe there's more to please and more of me to please them. Remember you can always dim the lights too.

It's normal. i have the same thing going on with mine. mine started to grow this way when i was 10 im 21 now. You would be surprised on how many women have the problem of one of their vagina lips hanging out. LOL, i tried to casualy explain it to my mother once when i was 14. really, how do you ask that question right? i said "Mom, does your inside vagina lips hang out?" you should have seen the look on her face! she laughed and said "NO, WHY?" i just said "no reason no reason," and left it at that. i was so embarrassed! i still have it. no vagina looks or smells the same, welcome to being an individual. i am 14 w/ the same exact problem, i first realized that i had it when i was 12, but i was afraid to tell anyone about it. Sometimes when it's time for a checkup at the doctor's i panic. once i faked a period so she would'nt look down there. I'm still afriad to tell anyone b/c i thought i was the only one.

There is a procedure called labiaplasty. It will remove/cut the "excessive" skin. I am against doing the procedure, and would actually prefer to have a girl with long/larger lips....a turn on for me.

I am so glad I am not alone on this "unusual" abnormality. It seems as if it is much more normal than what I imagine and everyone's right, once you have found the right person, they are not going to care about it, in fact they might even find it appealing. I'm also getting married in Feb. so I know my man likes it as well. ;-)

I think it's perfectly fine. Mine is the same way and although I thought it was strange, my husband is a medical student and he thought I was crazy when I asked if there were surgery for this sort of thing. He basically said it's extra skin and the dark edges are because of blood flow. He said that if it's not a problem for me, it's not a problem for him! Personally, I still don't like it, but I'm not about to spend money on such a purely cosmetic surgery. I'd rather have the money for a new car!

Lips come in so many different shapes and forms. The only reason so many women find it "unusual" is because women in pornography typically have the labia-reducing surgery in order to make them appear younger to older males. It's a psychological thing. So because we are exposed to only smaller labia in the sex industry, we think that having larger ones is weird or unattractive.
Certain men will prefer certain looks... like a preference for brunettes, taller women, brown eyes, etc.
Be comfortable with who you are! Chances are you're only sleeping with a guy that you trust and care about, so he won't think twice about it. He will only be interested that he's lucky enough to get some ;-)
