I'm 19 years old and I have only slept with 3 guys that I knew well, and I only had sex with each of them once and we used condoms. I was a virgin til I was 18 and didn't get fingered or anything like that til I was 18.

I have had DAILY discharge and sometimes it smells and sometimes it doesn't, and I have a urgency to pee a lot but when I try it is all small amounts. I shower daily and have very good hygiene. I have had 2 urinary tract infections, one that was sever got into my kidneys. I know that urgent urination is a symptom of UTI.

I'm very embarrassed by it and I haven't had sex with anyone since may 29th. But here is the bad part, I haven't seen a doctor and told here about the discharge or oder. I have never seen a OB GYN because I am not very open about this with anyone. My parents are preachers, so I feel like they will look down on me if I have something.....

please help I need to know if this is normal or if I should see a doctor

and if I see a doctor how should I go about doing that?

like what kind should I see or something.... i just dont know what to do

Hey Sweetie-

I have been told that guys carry the HPV virus and it only takes 'girls' one time to get it. The thing is, it's not something to mess around with. It can give you cancer or you may need a hysterectomy? That means NO children. I am not saying that you have this- however, alot of women have it and I was one that got it. It does smell - mine got worse and smelled like fish. I did have a spot of cancer and I am 40 yrs old now and have 2 children but you are still young!! DO your body and peace of mind a favor- PLEASE go get checked out!! You CAN go to your family Doctor if they do pap smears. Call and ask - then make sure it is confidential which should be. Please don't worry about "what" your parents think because if they are loving Christians like I assume they are then they will know that NOT one person is Perfect but God Himself and stuff happens to ALL of us - NOT one of us is above it! You are loved right where you are at - by God. So- if you don't feel like you can tell Mom & Dad - call your Family Doc - ask if they do pap smears and make sure and go in. If not- any Gynecologist which is a woman's doc is a specialist in that area. However, did you know that you are at the age now that you will need 1 pap smear once a year anyways - so if worse comes to worse- you could always tell Mom and Dad that you heard that from someone. You go girl- nothing to mess with - okay?
