vaginal Tissue discharge after Colposcopy and biopsy

I had the same thing but now 6 months later after ever period I have that same discharge. I’m worried. I went for my follow up and I’m waiting for results. My doctor said it’s extra skin shedding but the cause is unknown right now. Waiting for results from my culture

Thank you, to everyone who posted and responded. This just happened to me, 5 days post the procedure. The doctor never warned me about this, and like many here I was going number 2 when this happened and it totally freaked me out.
It's friday evening and I wouldve had to wait till moday to contact my doctor, and going to the ER seemed really extreme. You have all been so incredibly helpful and i hope youre all healthier now !

Omg thank god for all of you girls for being honest and being a little TMI on this subject. I JUST experienced this. I was sitting on the toilet and I remember feeling something wanting to gush out of my vagina. I was getting a little scared so I just waited it out. Few minutes later I felt it more and more until I decided to get a wipie and see if something was really gushing out. I looked down and as soon as I saw something I FREAKED out! I was cramping at this moment but it didn’t hurt to wipe it off. But as soon as I wiped it off the whole piece came out. It look almost like a gauze full of coffee grounds!!!!! Super scary but thank god for google and all his creations!

So thankful for the internet. Exact same thing for me. Now my question is, if I had been having unprotected sex with my husband for a week before my colposcopy because we’re trying to get pregnant, does anyone know if the tissue shedding would potentially remove any egg that had planted onto my uterus? I’m wondering if I basically expelled a super early pregnancy when this tissue came out of me as wel. Not bloody but how could this tissue come out of me without it taking a fertilized egg too? It’s been too early for me to get a positive pregnancy test yet so I have no clue. Just worried if I expelled a potential pregnancy due to the shed tissue from the colposcopy. We only started trying for pregnancy 17 days ago and this tissue came out yesterday. Also we started beforehand my doctor told me she’s wanted me to have a colposcopy so it kind of happened after we started trying.

Really glad to have found this site. Had procedure done Friday...and just passed large clump.... doctor's really should warm their patients about this...it had me planning for the worse....I have really bad anxiety

I had my biopsy done yesterday morning and I experienced the same thing in the bathtub when I was washing down there it look like old dirty toilet paper and I was like what is this and that's exactly what it was the same thing you're describing and so I grabbed my phone after I got out of the bath tub and dry it off and I took a picture of it and I almost fell out of the bed I was shaking and freaking out that's when I got online and found all of this yeah a post game preview would be nice instead of them just letting us think that our vagina is falling off of our bodies

I had the copo done Wed and got up this morning used the restroom and there was like a bowel movement coming out of my vag it scared me to death I've called the Dr waiting on call back this,stuff looks like paper that's dark brown and wet I wiped 5 times til it was finally gone and I'm nervous cause I leave for the beach on Sunday don't want to have this going on while I'm there makes for an awful vacation I'm praying it stops before then!!

Even grosser I had to pull the chunks of tissue (?) and dried blood and the brown mucus and other hunk out of my whoha. I had to dig it out, I’m scarred for life

Hey ladies so I had the whole crazy discharge thing happen tonight and was freaked out but also had a tough bowel movement afterword and now I am having some very dark red bleeding. I think it was from pushing with the BM but has anyone experienced actual bleeding afterword? My period isnt due for a week and I am also concerned I may be pregnant but its still too early to test...

I had a colposcopy + cervical & endometrial biopsy performed a little over a week ago. I wasn't feeling to great beforehand but since the procedure, I have had constant nausea,along with abdominal pain and vaginal discharge (blood streaks with dark brown/almost black mucous(?)) I am trying not to overthink or stress about it but it has me feeling somewhat alarmed.

So grateful for this forum and the humourous accurate descriptions of what we've all surprise dropped out of our hoo-has.
I love the descriptions! Leaves me no question about what I just passed. Thought it was a miscarriage except that I haven't had sex in so long that the baby would have been well into the second trimester:)
About 4" long alien chicken skin thing and I cut mine open too (I guess I could have asked the internet first...)
My colposcopy was 4 days ago, mild discomfort during the procedure, a bit of spotting that evening and then THIS. I'm still on hold with the nurse but will let them know that this forum explained it for me.

Thank you so much for this comment! It was exactly what I was experiencing. My doc said don't be surprised by some brown flakes being discharged so when I experienced like two penny sized clumps three days later and another one the next day I thought my uterus was dying or something!!! Internet to the rescue!
