Lately my periods have been very strange. I PMS and they follow a pretty normal cycle, but instead of the normal bleeding, I just have brown/red , very light mucus. This has been happening for the past 6 months, after the loss of 5 pounds. I am apparently a good bit underweight for my height, so could this be a cause? (I've only heard of periods going away completely when you're underweight.) Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks!

That sounds like it's possible. You aren't sexually active or anything like that are you? I don't know what is causing it but it doesn't sound totally unreasonable. Let me know, okay?

Nope- I'm a virgin.
I mean, it completely follows the pattern of my weight loss, so it does make sense, but I was just thrown off because I've only heard of people completely losing their periods when they weigh too little...
