I can't be sure what caused it but I started moving around to get my blood flowing and it went away. I did very simple yoga moves and push-ups for two minutes and that was enough.

This sound alot like me. When I was getting the shower I noticed Dark blue viens showing through my kin all over me. I am very pale but my veins have never looked like that. They vere very dark circles around my nipple that led to other veuins that branched out over my whole body. Now the thing is, I'm 14, going on 15 and I am a hardcore athlete, so I have gotten periods before but only 3 in the past 2 1/2 years. I talked to my dcotor and he said it wasa normal for younger female athletes. Now I hae never had sexual intercoure ever in my life, and don't plan to for a long time, so this obviously shouldn't have something to do with prenancy. Any idea what it could be?

I just noticed the same thing. My veins are so prominent that I can see how they intersect. It wasn't like this last week, but my cycle started. I don't know how it's tied, but I believe it has something to do with it. I also exercise regularly and my veins can usually be seen on my hands and arms (sometimes).

I'm fair skinned as well, (extremely so) so my veins are always SORT of visible, but sometimes they're DISTINCTLY darker. Sharpy dark :$. I've panicked over it off and on to varying degrees for the last few years, and finally I think I've found the answer. Dehydration. even just slightly. Sounds too easy, I know, but look up the two together, you'll see a strong correlation. More importantly ask yourself if you currently drink enough water, and if you don't, up the intake! ( you should probably just do it either way, pumping water is good for virtually everything, just saying) Anywho, next time this is acting up, make a conscious effort to really really pound water. depending on how dehydrated you are your veins might look wonky for a bit yet but in a matter of hours you'll see great improvement if it doesn't go away entirely. Once I learned this, it occurred to me this does seem to happen more often in Summer (unfortunately, what with that being the worst time of year for your organs to seemingly start shining through..) which makes sense now. So MIO it, chill it, ice it, throw a wedge of lime in there, do what you gotta do to down that H2O!!!! Yay prevention!
