I think this is it. Because I am a teenage girl and I have never done "it" before. My veins on my chest and arms are very prominent. And the ones in my breasts are beginning to be visible. I just got off my period.

i am a young female adult who recently started on birth control, ive noticed dark blue veins showing through my skin not like usual, on my pelvis chest and forearms. ive also experienced left leg pain and heart pain which i thought was heartburn but these symptoms also could lead to blood clotting which is common while taking birth control. what do i do or think?

Sorry. That's devastating. How long had you had the IUD, maybe you were already pregnant...

Vascular thoractic outlet syndrome...his subclavian vein or artery is being compressed. Find someone skilled in TOS

Are they pretty prominent? Might be dealing with a compressed vein in your thoracic outlet area. Look up TOS, thoracic outlet syndrome...you're most likely dealing with the venous type. Find someone who is skilled in that area...a vascular surgeon would need to run a few tests to determine if that's what you're dealing with. It will take time and effort on your part because it's not always an easy diagnosis.

A lot of doctors won't agree if there's no swellimg involved, but I know otherwise. Prominent veins is a sign of some sort of obstruction.

First, stop taking birth control (super bad for your health) and if the veins don't go away find out if you've developed small clots in your thoracic outlet area. You'll need to see a vascular surgeon or an orthopedist for evaluation.
