Hello! The most common symptoms are dizziness, abnormal sensation of movement called vertigo, which can be accompanied by nausea and vomiting, loss of balance, especially falling toward the affected side, hearing loss in the affected ear, ringing or other noises in the ears and involuntary eye movements. Sometimes an ear examination won’t show any changes, then some other test are done to differentiate it from other possible causes of dizziness or vertigo. These are head CT scan or MRI scan, hearing testing, caloric stimulation, electronystagmography and EEG. I hope you found these information sufficient.
