Wanna talk to male friend more

Hi im 14 (male) and i have a best m8 who i really like to talk to cos we r best m8s...anyway, i feel like i can tell him anything and i do but he doesnt tell me stuff. He dusnt tell me wen he split up with his gf or any problems and wen i txt him i get a three word answer, yet he txts girls and talks 2 them bout who he fancies and his probs. i'm not gay or anything but i just want a friend i can talk to and he can talk 2 me. We sometimes joke about masturbation and we know each other does it but we never talk about that properly either. I like to talk about it so i know that other ppl r going thru wot im going thru. Basically, i want to be able to talk to my m8. Any ideas plz???? im desperate :-(
