I have a question regarding my father's health. He is 67 years old and he had been suffering from diabetes past 6 years. He follows strictly doctor's advices concerning diets, light exercises, overall way of life. Still, lately he said that he feels some weakness in limbs and we cannot determine whether it is linked with diabetes. Does anyone know something about this?

I assume that a visit to a doctor is the best thing you could do at the moment. There is a possibility that weakness in limbs occurred because of diabetes. The same thing happened to my grandfather. He is 85 years old now, and has been living with diabetes for almost two decades. He started with pills, but later he had to replace them with injections. Couple of years ago, he started having weakness in limbs, medications did not help much, but then again, he is very old. I suppose that after examination you will know what you are dealing with.
