In response to isk22 and Post-MVA, look up CCI, upper cervical instability, chiari 0, POTS,ICP, SCDS.  Listen to your body.  If you chiro and doctors cannot seem to help, then find new ones.  Try to contact a real specialist like Cushing neuroscience Institute  and the Chiari Institute in Long Island NY.  It will take perseverance, but you have to find a qualified doctor who is current.  Never give up.

Not sure if you're on birth control but I experienced all of these symptoms (except laying down and sleeping usually helped me) but once I got off birth control I made a quick turn around and got better!
Also a good chiropractor may be a good place to go. They are so smart and can tell things about the health of your body through they're training. Mine told me my stomach and intestines were sitting too high, and then pushed them to where they belong.
Good luck to you, I know what you're going through and how hard it is!

I had the same symptoms! but i think i've found the cure!

It started like any other day after i had come back from christmas. i flew home.  Worked on saturday, and woke up on Sunday, feeling 'off'.  I had had a horrible heachache and that had supsided but now i had severe fatigue and brainfog.  spacey, didn't feel like i was here.  I thought maybe i'd caught the flu, so i managed to get a sick day that day at work. Mistaken that it was the flu, i tried my usual herbal solutions but to no avail. i switched to bacterial medicine, to no avail.  a momentary flux of feeling ok but it was by the minute.  one minute i thought i was ok, the next not.  I started to lose my sense of taste, a pungent olive, taste bland and tasteless.  music didn't sound the same, light was different.  Dark seemed REALLy dark, and i loved being in the sunshine. I had extreme fatigue.  I am so sorry to anyone battling this.  it is like death has a watch over your existence, but is only barely letting you live.  I couldn't hold conversations, couldn't think, or find words.  thinking was taking SO much energy. I trumped my energy to go to work one day (i do massage)  bad idea.  the next day, sunday was the worst day, i barely summoned energy to go to the doctor and get a doctor's note so i wouldn't be fired from work.  doctor confirmed whatever this was, it was not the flu.  didn't have much else to say, and when they tried to draw blood, none would come out. tried 3 times. so they couldn't even draw blood for tests.  that was at an urgent care, not the ER. From here i begged, pleaded with the gods, and took a huge dose of humility.

I had a breakthrough.  I thought i'd do anything i hadn't tried.  So I began to do nasal breathing, one nostril at a time, for about an hour.  At this point I was lying in my bed and had no energy to do anything, anything at all.  Breathing, in felt as if i was only getting barely any oxygen into my brain, even though i should have.  my nose was clogged up high in my nose arch.  The breathing amped up my energy enough to get me up out of bed and around the house.

I knew that if i could breathe, i could access some energy, as there is energy in breath.

I had eaten about 500 for the previous 2 days and so I needed to find a way to be hungry.  I couldn't 'feel' hunger, thirst, or many other kinestetic things.

Ginger Tea i managed to make.  From the root.  not store bought.  buy the root, boil the herb and let it steep for a few hours.  This helps reestablish an appetite very well.  At this time i was also eating kale from my garden and apples.  nothing else.  nothing else even wanted to come close to my mouth. so very strange.

After I began to eat, i began to piece together what all things had in common:

MY BRAIN.  they were all BRAIN functions.  all those things can happen if your brain doesn't have what it needs.  So with the help of this woman's video, and her long long fight with M.S.

The Brain Diet

3 cups greens/kale/collards/spinach/romaine (not iceberg it has no nutritional value)

3 cups bright veggies /peppers/sweet potatoes/tomatoes/mangos/apples/berries/ fruits

3 cups onions/garlic/cabbage/broccoli/cauliflower

seafood/meat & animal organs

Chia seeds/water for omega 3/6s

Seaweed - i like the seaweed snacks

you MUST CUT OUT or only eat after you eat the above foods

GLUTEN, STARCH, BREAD, POTATOES, DAIRY, and processed foods.

FOOD, NOT supplements is your cure.

In 24-48 hours i went from NONFUNCTIONAL, to functional.

Now i'm back at work, and writing you this message.

BELIEVE THERE IS A REAL ANSWER! YES IT IS SIMPLE! THIS IS IT!

it was for me, i hope sincerely it is for you.  I hold so much compassion in my heart to all of you, dealing with these symptoms for such a long time. Watch the video. try the diet. I send you all, love, light, healing.

Sincerely,

Carrie Allison LMT/Reiki Master Teacher

Have you been tested for BBPV, or vestibular migraines, or Meneire's?? Go see a good ENT or chiropractor ....all of these can be helped by one or three manuevers that both doctors can do.

Another update:

I feel worse than ever right now. My head feels like its gonna explode. Towards the end of November I was driving (working) when I got extremely lightheaded/dizzy; but this wasn't like any other time. It kept intensifying in a specific part and repeating. I know that probably doesn't make sense, but it was almost like it wasn't making a full circle, but repeating one quarter. I had been sick for a couple months at that point with mucous/bad cough. This happened two other times within a 3 month period, but this time was the worst and left me with severe fatigue. I can't do anything. I tried doing a light workout and that set me back even more. I can't read or think. Just sit around all day and feel miserable as f**k.

Anyone know if this could have been caused by Diflucan, decongestants, sinus meds, or Advil?

I feel your pain, no accident for me same symptoms tho. Feel like I'm loseing my mind, I go for a mri this week. My biggest fear is they won't find anything wrong with me and I'm stuck like this forever, what I would do to be normal again. Dont take good health for granted you have no idea.

I had those symptoms...vertigo, ringing in my ears and feeling nauseous in my head. I was diagnosed, after 10 years of testing, with vestibular migraines. Its the rarest form of migraine because it is a headache inside my semi-circular canals which affect balance...not a regular type of painful headache. Mine stems from being around loud noises most of my life as a musician and also affected by stress. Just an option to look into. My best to you!

I had the same symptoms after a moderate concussion.  What helped the most was taking some time off of work and decreasig visual and auditory stimulation.  Dark rooms were better.  Quiet was better.  No tv or computers.  Minimal reading, decision making or anything else that woul cause me to think.  I couldnt drive.  My mood crashed with a lot of irritability. I was always felt like I was going to vomit so I ate very small meals.  Generally my brain needed the rest. My understanding is that if these symptoms stay around longer when the rest doesnt happen.  I found it was increadably hard to do nothing, But it helped me in the long run.  That being said you should keep in touch with your PCP.

Hey, I'm a male and I have been battling brain fog for years. In 2010 I was in a serious accident that fractured c1,2, and 3 and damaged my back and obliterated my jaw in many areas. I feel pressure in my head and have had the intense headaches ... Also out of nowhere at work I get so disoriented if I misstep or look up... Nothing is the same anymore but I battle the depression from my lack of confidence with exercise..it seems to make the headaches worse at first but over time it helps.. I also found I am absolutely caffien intolerant... Caffien feels great at first to me but after a few days I have severe neck twitches and very bad anxiety ... It feels horrible. Hang in there .....
