Hi. I have noticed some weird sores on my genitals two month ago. There were two blisters before, but they broke and it took two weeks to heal. Now, weird sores occurred again. A friend told me I might have genital herpes. What can I do in such case? Are there some tests? How to check it out?

Hi. I have the same symptoms, sores in genital area, and I was diagnosed with genital herpes. I had a first episode of genital herpes and now I expect more outbreaks within a year. Luckily, these recurrences will decrease in frequency. Genital herpes can be diagnosed by visual inspection and by checking out the samples from the sores. Between outbreaks, HSV is hard to diagnose. Blood test is not always clear.
