Yes, it would be much helpful if we know the main cause of the secondary dystonia, but unfortunately there is no definite one. Usually, this condition might be related to some brain damage, chemical disorder, sometimes even a trauma might be the trigger. The cause of the primary dystonia is some sort of pathology process in the central nervous system.
