My son has been doing some regular blood checks and the results were not good. Doctors found a high level of sugar in his blood and he had to go for some additional examinations. And those showed that he has high presence of GAD autoantibodies in his organism. What does that presence indicate? Help, please, I am so worried…

Most likely, unfortunately, the high level of the mentioned substance in an adult or a child indicates that there is a certain possibility of the condition diabetes mellitus type one presence. Of course, this is not a definite diagnose, I assume that some more tests will be done. There might be a chance that there are some viruses in his body that are attacking the pancreas, but that also has to be checked.
