Hello, folks. My uncle has been recently diagnosed arrhythmia. His cardiologist suggests radio frequency ablation. I would like to know what the risks are of undergoing this procedure. Are there any risks? I would really hear out your experiences and opinions. Thank you for answering. This means a lot to me. Bye!

Hello. I think this is mostly safe procedure. I have read somewhere that less than 5% have some of the complications. You shouldn’t worry a lot. Mostly, risks are related to blood vessels damages by catheter. This can also happen to certain heart structures. In some cases, additional arrhythmias are possible. That is why I suggest you a thorough conversation with your cardiologist. I hope I’ve helped. Bye!
