Hello. I have a really delicate problem and I never searched for any help. Why? I really don’t know. Maybe it didn’t bother me at the time. Maybe I was just frightened and a bit embarrassed.
Few months ago I have noticed that I have a small bump on my penis. It is located in the lower part of my penis, just over my left testicle.
I didn’t think it was some serious and I forgot about it for a time. But, my girlfriend recently noticed it and she demand I contact my urologist immediately because she is suspecting on some sexually transmitted disease.
Was she right? What could cause this bump on my penis?

Well you gave me very small amount of data to think of.
A bump on your penis can be many different things. I must say that sexually transmitted disease is the most common cause of such a bump.
If your bump looks like a blister than you probably have genital herpes caused by virus herpes zoster.
The most common, however, is simply blocked hair follicles. This problem can cause bumps anywhere on the body, not just the genital area but, you must admit, on this part is most dramatic!
Only treatment for blocked follicles is to wash gently and to be careful not to scratch or use lotions that can cause the skin to be more irritated.
However, regardless of what sort of bump on your penis you have, you should definitely have a doctor check it out and solve all your questions.
