Hello, I am a concerned parent. My son is 3 years old and it appears that something is not quite right. He has been doing those development test and according to the doctors he did not do that well. And he will also take some Arnold L. Gessel test and I would like to know what does it analyze? Do you know?

Well, I think it is just another development test. I assume that the doctors want to be sure about the results, and if they are not that should be good news. I mean, we are talking about the kid here, I don’t think that it is easy to measure any kind of ability at that age. Still those test results might tell us how to direct the future care about the child, if that is necessary at all.

Hi there,
Do you mean that he is not developing physically or mentally correctly? If I remember correctly Arnold Gesell was a psychologist and pediatrician. Now I don’t know much about children’s psychology but this test is developed to see how infants are developing. The main focus here is on the motor and language development. Also there are facts like personal and social behavior along with adaptive behavior. So you can see the test focuses on many aspects of child’s development. I don’t think that you should be worried too much about this and wait until the test has passed and when they have the results. I hope this helped you in any way.

Best wishes,
Marco
