In decision to use the medicine the risks of taking any of them must be weighed against the good it will do. That is great decision from you and his doctor. For Baclophen, there are some conditions that should be considered. First thing is to tell doctor if he ever had some unusual or allergic reaction on Baclophen. Also, if he ever had allergic reaction for any other substances is very important. Studies have been done only in adults patients, and there is no specific information comparing use Baclophen in children with use in other age groups. You didn’t say how old your brother was. Side effects may be hallucinations, confusion or mental depression, changes and other mood, sometimes drowsiness occur too. The last one is especially likely in elderly patients; they are more sensitive then younger adults of Baclophen. There shouldn’t any problems appear, but if that happened, it’s important that your doctor in constantly informed about him.
