Hello, for a long time I have been suffering from angina pectoris. The condition was stable before but now it became worse. Doctor said that cardiac catheterization has to be done. What kind of procedure is that? Can you give me some explanation so that I know what they will do to me?

Cardiac catheterization is invasive diagnostic procedure. With a help of catheter (which is inserted in coronary arteries), accumulated fat is being pushed away. This enables those arteries to function properly and that leads to normal heart function. Unfortunately, this is not a permanent solution, so if you are not being cautious, that obstruction might happen again.
