My daughter has changes on her skin in the form of reddish areas on the hands and legs. Those itch very much, she does not sleep at all because of this. Doctor said this is allergic reaction on something she ate. I am very worried because we cannot determine what led to these changes. What is Promacot (doctor prescribed her with that drug)?

Promacot is a drug whose generic name is Promethazin. It is antihistaminic with sedative effect. It blocks histamine receptors, so situation wont get complicated regarding those reddish areas. Unfortunately, it cannot deal with already released histamine. If she does not know what food is in question, the best way of founding out is to do allergy test on all known allergens that could be found in food.
