Hiya my mother has copd , I think she in her final stage   wot is the final stage ? She had 20.% of her lungs working months ago , she did another test last week and the percentage has gone down again but won't tell us what it is . Am finding very hard to stay positive for her , it's eating me up in side . I would like to know how long she has left , she is a Heavy smoker and won't quit , she tryed to cut down but fails every time . She constantly has  lung infection and perscribed steroids every week as it ain't shifting .. Please can you put my mind at ease
