Hello! I usually use ibuprofen for my back pain. I sometimes feel it after my work in a garden or if weather changes. Ibuprofen really works very fast and I don’t feel pain at all after half an hour. I always have it at home and I never take it if the date is expired. My mother says Ibuprofen should not be taken after one year since it may be toxic. I told her that date is always written on the box but she thought she was right. Is this true?

Hi! Ibuprofen is usually used in treatment of pain and inflammation and it is one of the most used over the counter medicines. It is administrated by one capsule three or times a day. Maximal daily dose is 2,5 g in three or four takings. It should be taken with care in patients with liver and kidneys disease, chronic heart insufficiency and under the presence of gastro-intestinal tract diseases. It should be kept in place away from direct sunlight and its shelf life is two years as it is always written on the package.
