When Do I Get Tested?

Hi. HIV test detects HIV antibodies in your body`s fluids, such as blood serum, oral fluid, plasma, urine an dried blood spot. The time between infection and the development varies, so you will have to wait 3 to 6 months before you get tested. However, I went to take HIV test recently. I was waiting 6 months, after moment of possible infection. When I got there, they told me I could`ve came 28 days after that moment. I was relieved anyway, because the results were negative. Negative means you don`t have AIDS. Positive is bad. After testing, you can get your results the next day.
