white spots in the brain?

I , too, have the same situation. Mine started with palpitations and dizziness. Occasional headaches and neck pain. went to my doctor and asked for medicine thinking I had vertigo. MRi was ordered and I was told that I have a lesion in my brain with 3 small white spots in the frontoparietal area. The lesion is located in my left basal ganglia of the brain which controls swallowing, speech , memory, bladder and bowel control as well as motor skills. That frightened me a lot coz I work in a Rehab center and most of the patients I see have the same deficits from stroke or MS. 2 neurologist told me that it is from my Migraine headache which was worse when I was a teenager . Last week I had lumbar tap and series of blood tests performed to rule out MS as 3 mos after the first MRI, I had 2 more spots on a different location and the radiologist suggested that I might have PFO (patent foramen ovale- a hole in the heart that normally closes at birth). My cardiologist started me on Aspirin to thin my blood and he said that a Transesophageal test could be done to confirm the diagnosis of PFO should my neurologist request for it.

My diabled daughter has had for two yrs. now and the doctor accused me of shacking her when she was a baby but he
could not explain why she had them now at 33 yrs. old! Can anybody help me to cope with?

I had headaches for years, had several MRI's, had so called mini strokes (lasted 8 seconds) spots on the brain, and even had a lumbar puncture to see if I had MS. No MS. Not till several years later I started going to a Chiropractor, my spine was out of whack probably from a car wreck when I was 19. I now go religiously to a Chiropractor once a month to adjust my spine. I sit all day long so my hips get out of alignment. Try a Chiropractor. I am just on my 2nd Chiropractor and he is great. Go till you find one that does your body good.

I have all the symptoms you have week ness down my left side and vision probs i have numbness on the left hand side of my face and head which is what i originally went to the doctors for who refered me on to the hospital they have told me there not concerned about my numbness but found white spotting on the right hand side of my Brain im 36 yrs old an terrified my consultant said my Brain like yourself is the same age as someone twice my age and its caused through smoking i have decided to quit them im that scared, he told me quit smoking or I'm going to die of a massive stroke he was very harsh with me but gave me a wake up call i needed so your not on your own xx

I am 59 years old. One of my doctor saw my MRI. and he told me that I have white spots on my brain. I began to worry since I have a surgery on my head. Before that i had sinus trombosis. Then I fall down and i hit my head but i didn't go to check it out. Not until I had a MRI in april . Please explain to me what it cause the white spots,

My daughter had the same thing w/headaches, tingle, dizziness and was told it might be MS, but one the nurses where she work told her to look up aspertaine, she did stop using anything with aspertain in it about 2 weeks ago and the headaches stop. She still going to see the Dr. for test. Good luck.

I have suffering with head pain for many years, two years they told me white spots nothing to worry   I have numbness in arms sometimes legs..   Over 2.5 yrs diagnosed with Lyme disease have fibro also.  Maybe miss..  Anyways... New neurologist wants a new MRI to see what they look now..  Went for cardio ultrasound .. Perfect he said. We talked about about white spots.. he said Parkinson's.  Lots of pain losing motivation.   I'm in good shape and loves life and family and now theres not much quality. I have God And and I pray... Any similar issues?

I am 49 yrs old. for th past year I have had black floater like smoke that comes and goes occassinaly, I also noted in the last few years that I tend to forget get names , sometimes words, My eyesight sometimes get blurry, and I have glasses for reading but dont wear them all the time , On M onday was doing a bit of reading noted that it was getting fuzzy and then doubled but eventurally it left, there was a time in the last year where I felt that when I want to swallow I just could not swollow, been under a bit of stress in the last few years does not help, I also had lump in throat feeling that seemed to get better with nexium but it happens on and off sometimes as I dont take it every day, and I had pain in the neck plus head hacheaches some are migrains . My dad and sister has it too . At work had bad headaches last year, and was almost losing consciouness but I was awake, and could hear the girls speaking and I said something but not what they were asking , ater I felt my right leg getting tingly and heavy and moving to my buttocks same heavy feeling in left hand, I also felt like my heart was getting weak and funny like I had no life in me . went to my doctors and they did eco while they were doing this the same feeling came over me with heart aswell as if I was losing consiousness, dr thought it might be a mild stoke called ambulance and at the hospital they did a CT and found mild chaira ectopia and said nothin to worry , and it took a year before the hospital called me back for MRI which I did this year August, went to get results and they said that there were about 20 white spots, in middle of brain not the grey area even though the MRI person mentioned some were in the grey area but the nurologis looking at the MRI said that he could not see anythingon the grey matter of the brain he got me to do a lot of bood test for lupus, heart, etc it any of you want to know the test I did let me know, and all the results were in normal a couple were about 3or 4 ponts closer to the amount but still in the normal amount. I can see far but someime the vision for far too get a bit fuzzy, and I have to squint to get agood look, it sometimes happens even when I am looking at peoples faces, I have noted in the past few years my memory is getting bad, but I have been blaming it on stress. But I have done some weird things like using the remote for a phone or vice versa sometimes, and if I have something and place it somewhere I have difficulty remebering, The doctor is going to repeat MRI in March next year, as well as MRI on spine to see the cause of the numbness that an come on and off on my leg now for the last three days have this feeling on the left hand but it goes off when I make up. Sometimes I feel that fore arm is hot and funny hae the feeling for the last few days at the moment, I also have pain on left jaw like a cunching noise when I eat, did xray to check for TMJ and it showed no TMJ said I might be becuae I might be biting my teeth in my sleep. I am worried, about this on and off symptoms that come and go also in the last year had lots of neck pain as well as lumpy feeling in throat put me on nexium and it got better but it still comes on on and off as I dont take it everyday, now I also feel like I have to take really deep breaths to get proper air in lungs this is just started about a week ago, I have asthma, and do take puffer as well as hay fever . I am worried but try not to think of things, I have also felt muscle spasm in body that this too was in the last year and goes, maybe after a few minutes. And when I was under stress I used to stutter when I talk this was there for sometime but not all the time I have never been a strutter could this be due to the stress. I havent stutterd for quite a while Could this be symptoms of MS or am I just worring for no reason, What tests can be done to rule out MS please help. Neuroogist said it could be due to the migrains or fluid the MRI thats why the patches said not to wrry about the mild chiara ectopia,the MRI for Brain and spine will be done in March 2015 to check if they are getting worse . What is a transesophagel test, I have 20 white spots in middle not grey area, also numbness hevy feeling on right leg left arm, said could be due to migrains or fluid I asked if that is why I forget sometimes said no,I too have had that feelin where I cant swollow but I was under a lot of stress, fuzziness blurry that comes and goes on eyes, said I have to go for a head and spine MRI in three months March next year

Hello, I am 41 years old and I have been haven most of these same things happen to me ,the dizziness, vision problems ,bad pain at times well most all the time ,I am weak most all the time .I also have a small white spot on the brain but for the past couple of years I went on with life praying and hoping it would go away but I ended up in the hospital so weak I could hardly walk and now am being test for MS . My message is to be seen don't let go as I did because if its caught early it is some what better to get a hold of it with treatment . I suffered more then I should have because I didn't want to come to terms there was something wrong .....Bottom line get help ,take the meds and do as directed by the doctor ,this is nothing to play with for sure!

I just turn 50 i have white spots in my brain too i had a spinal tap to see if it was ms and it wasn"t my neurology dont know what it is and im  sufferring with tingling and numbness in my face hands etc. and i lost 70% of my hair im so scared if it can be life threadning is anyone going through this ?

I am trying to find answers for my 10 year old daughter ., She has 9 spots and they think it is Melas. I am waiting for test results to come back

I am actually 16 years old with all the same symptoms, migraines, white spots on the right side of my brain, etc but I have tremors in my left hand. It's been going on mom stop for over 2 years now and they still don't know what's wrong ?

My husband just found yesterday he has white spots also through the mri. Now we need to go see a neuro. I'm so scared. Hope and pray its not something life threathing. Please keep us updated in yr case also. Thanks
