I am 16 years old and I just started to masturbate. Still I do not have girlfriend and still I did not have sex. I just found out my testicles are so sensitive sometimes it hurts me. I wonder if that is normal, or should I seek for medical help? I am too embarrassed to ask some friend about this, so I would like if you could give me an answer.

I do not know why you are worrying so much about this. Do you really have pain or discomfort about your testicles, or just you feel they are sensitive when you masturbate? We all do know from the time we were young that the testicles are very sensitive. Is not that known how good swift kick in the testicles causes a person to double over in pain? To tell you, for the starts, that like the penis, the testicles come in all shapes and sizes. They are wrinkly and may be smooth or hairy, depending from person to person. Even though there are two testicles, we all should treat them as a unit. They go hand in hand and do not at all liken to being separated and yanked apart, which you might tried and feel pain. Testicles are needed for gravity, and they will probably descend a little, as you getting older. Conversely, they stick close to the shaft when a man is about to climax. This might happen and when the outdoor temperature gets very cold. Incidentally, the smooth spot on the underside is a great place to touch and stimulate, because they are so sensitive. As you can see, that is normal and no reason to worry.

Arghhh, I hate it when women try to comment on men's issues! You're a woman, you do not have the equipment, and you don't know what you're talking about.

I think annecorinne's post was quite erotic... XD

But seriously, strickling, I don't think that normally at your age your testicles should be so sensitive as to be painful... unless you are masturbating too frequently, which could prolly cause that to happen.... Why not try to either masturbate less frequently or even quit for a month or so, that is if you can, and then if the discomfort continues I would suggest you have it checked out....

That's exactly what it is. I'm 52 and I know from personal experience. Thankfully, back when I was only 20 yrs old, an old friend told me that if a guy gets one or two (or more) erections without an ejaculation, it can make your balls hurt. So, don't worry about ejaculating too much. If it hurts, try to ejaculate and the pain should go away. If you can't ejac, don't worry. Nature (God) has taken care of that, as well. You might occasionally find some discharge in your pants... most likely "sticky" discharge. That is a form of ejac. So, don't worry pal!

Uhh, dude. A lot of woman know a lot about nuts. I've noticed this. yeah, you can argue "you don't have junk, you don't know what you're talking about!", but a lot of woman know more about balls than men do. Yeah, we know the feelings and stuff, but some woman know a lot about the actually anatomy of 'em.

You probably just have blue balls. All that's happening is sperm are getting ready to leave, and then you don't ejaculate, so the tubes down there get a little congested. Don't worry. It's completely harmless, and it should probably go away in no more than an hour or two(but usually waayyyyy less). Don't worry about it

Well Sometimes all these people are wrong and one answer might just do it. In my case, my left testicle is perfectly find and hurt the way a testicle would normally, like by getting hit or squished. The right one however, has a nerve which is superficially located and I can actually feel it upon palpations. Because of this arrangement it is more sensitive to pain since pain nerve endings are less hidden and more exposed. I feel abnormal pain in my right testicle when it has a hit and bounce back motion during sex and I really cannot let my girl touch my right nut. Its cruciating pain and is not a joke. I have given up on some sexual activities that most people would rather enjoy. For exaple, getting ur balls licked, sucked and even slightly rubbed. So don't feel weird or abnormal. There is no real definition of normal but in daily use its seen interpreted as the most naturally optimal function of something which may even include aesthetic appeal for reproduction or merely leisure means. Refrain from this definition because its the medias influence which defines it, in other words , the world of profiters would like you to believe this. Easier said then done, i know, but learn not to give a sh*t about what people think of you and accept yourself infinitely. This in depth analogy of societal pressures on the mind of the human being may not have been what you were looking to find out. However this is good advice which you will agree with sooner or later. I would also like to add that make sure to always be diplomatic with people because this is a crappy world and there is no other way about it. In conclusion you shouldnt feel bad about having painful testicles unless of course they are growing in size meaning they may have some sort of foreign accumulation within them such as blood, semen, pus or just fluid in general. The enlarged presentation may also indicate testicular cancer. Therefore the you should feel bad in terms of worisome. Okay thats enough typing for me, reply and I shall get back to you.

Don't worry about it at all! I'm 16 and have been masturbating since I hit puberty, but it only flares up when I do too much of it. You'll just have to accept that like most guys you have sensitive testes. (I kept nagging my mom about it because she's a doctor to the point where she kept yelling YOU'RE FINE!) Don't worry about it while it hurts. Worry about it when it's swollen/large and it doesn't hurt (cancer DOES NOT hurt...). And try to have fun, I know I do ;-)

I'm 15 and this was pretty helpful. For a few days I've been worried. My left testicle was a little achey. Than it just hurt a little to touch. And now i realize its not a big deal for your testicles to be sensetive at times.

Cancer doesn't hurt as a whole, but when it is pushing on an organ, it bloody will!

I am 41 and have the same problems. I had a cyst on my right one. It was removed, But I still have very sensitive testicles. I have been to a couple of specialists and they are of no help. They tell me that some men just have sensitive testicles and if the pain continues then they can remove them as a last resort. Well I think that is B.S. and I like my balls :) there is something causing it. But I cant afford to go to multiple DR's
