I have just been looking over google and places for answers but thought id throw a question in here and see what reply i got.

I duno how long I have had it, its something you cant think back to when it started as you thought nothing of it at first but my testicles seem very sensitive mainly on the top of them which is pointing upwards if your stood up... i could go to the toilet and the slightest of catch causes a kinda sharp pain and i could be in the shower and if a strand of water flying down caught the top then again the pain, its mainly in my right one, id say 90% was

im just wondering if anything causes this? or its the fact they are a very sensitive area and so any such thing could cause a pain. I mean ive asked mates but they recon theyres arent sensitive.

really wanted answers as i cant go back to the doctors as ive been so much recently for other stuff, il look like a worry freak. help please

Mine aren’t usually sensitive either.

But they used to be when I suffered from epididymitis. Of course I had no idea what that was then or that it even existed but my testicles were sensitive to touch and any pressure. When they started to swell was when I freaked and went to check.

thanks for your reply. I dont think i have that, i mean they are sensitive but i can grope them as if checking around and nothing hurts although i could all of a sudden get a sharp pain then its gone again... its almost like 48 hrs i could get nothing, just be completely normal then for some reason catch it on that bit and it hurts like a ******* it is not nice.

more i think about it the more i start feeling stuff down there but i recon its just down to me thinking it. ???

Well, it could be in your mind but pain is not so normal, even if it’s occasional.
Epididymis is located on top and behind the testicle.
Have you had any tests when you went to see a doc previously?

By the way, did you do any heavy lifting? My brother hurt himself during workout and had low back and testicular pain. A doc found a groin strain. He had to rest until it healed.
How long did you say you were experiencing the problem?

That is incredible... Well ive been to the doctors a few times with glands and such on my body and he says its my age etc ( 18 ) still growing.

Over past few days i have a sort of throbbing now in my left testicle and they have sort of swollen to some degree

that part which has shocked me is the lifting. The last time i was at the doctors was due to my lower back, i went about 3-4 weeks ago, i work in a warehouse and it consists of a lot and quite constant lifting and my back has been terrible but its eased off as my testicles have started playing up.

So i have been experiencing sensitive testicles for as far as i remember but as of late its only been the past week or so with discomfort and swollen and everything.

You didn’t mention you experienced swelling as well.
Swelling and pain don’t sound too good to me-to be honest. You can always see another doc, can’t you? Can you go straight to an urologist or do you have to see a GP before he sends you to an urologist? How does it work in your country?

Sorry I have to mention my epididymitis again but I looked at the symptoms again today and I read that besides std’s, epididmytis symptoms may occur after heavy lifting and your swelling and pain and sensitivity do remind of my symptoms. Why not have it checked? From my point of you, discomfort or pain is not normal whether you are growing or not.

I was given antibiotic and told to take them even if my symptoms were gone before I finished the treatment. I had a follow up to see if everything’s in order and that the symptoms and inflammation were gone. This seemed to be important because if epididymitis is not treated well, it could progress to orchitis, which is an inflammation of the testicles by spread of bacteria.
My brother was ordered to rest and apply ice packs. He was also taking some NSAID’s to relieve the pain. And he was not about to go back to working out until he was better.

Let me know what you did at the doctor’s!

Hi John! I am glad I could help but there is just one thing I don’t understand in your diagnose.
What kind of doctor did you see? You said it was viral infection and you were prescribed antibiotic, or what?

As far as I know, antibiotics don’t treat virus infections but I may be wrong. Don’t take my words for granted. Anyway, I think mumps can also cause epididymitis.

Did you have a urine test? This test is done to look for an infection.

As for the treatment, my symptoms also disappeared in the first week.

I cant remember his exact words i think he said an infection with symptoms of epi.. and so he will treat it as that.

I just saw my usual local doctor in my town. no urine test, i have been given 60 tablets, 2 to be taken a day and i must complete the course

ciprofloxacin is the tablets. i dont feel quite as bad, little imrpovement but i have only been on the tablets 4 days so could improve a lot hopefully

thanks

My entire life my testicles have been extremely sensitive. I cannot even begin to handle regular testicular exams...I see the videos on how one ought to check oneself...but I could never do that.

It is not pain really, but, my nerves go wild...it's almost pleasurable, and when I touch them lightly it can be extremely nice even, but anything more then the lightest touch seems to set off my nerves, and even make me spasm involuntarily.

Is there any known disorder or something that people are born with? From what I can tell this is not the norm for most...as most can easily squeeze their testicles without having their nerves freak out.

It is not really a problem, except my wife has to be very gentle with me...and it's been this way my whole life. I guess I am just curious. Maybe I just had a weird genetic mutation that makes them ultra-nerve connected?

is anyone aware of anything like this? I can't find anything online about it.

Thank you.
