Hi, I have an ovarian cyst. They say it's benign (meaning non-cancerous) which is a very good thing but I have other worries on my mind.
I am terrified of becoming infertile. I would really like to know if anybody knows if there is a chance of that happening. Please write back, I really need some advice.
Thank You for your time and help,
Amanda

I get a pretty big ovarian cyst every month since I was a late teenager. Part of your cycle, from what I'm told, is having a cyst attach to the wall of your uterus, then when you have your period you shed the cyst. Mine are pretty large, but we had our first daughter totally by accident, and our 2nd baby 18 months later on our first try. Now we've tried for a third and I've had one chemical pregnancy, which means you're pregnant but you lose it in time for your normal period, and no luck this month. So, it can take a while, but we certainly didn't have too hard of a time. Good luck. And remember that if your cyst is large, you don't want to do a ton of running or bouncing, it can twist your ovary, which turns into an ER scenario. :-)
