Recently I have had various somewhat discreet symptoms and pretty much nothing visible. This began about 2 weeks ago when I had unprotected sex with my girlfriend. She had been getting symptoms of a yeast infection a few weeks before this, but had been to the doctor and the doctor had seen nothing. After this she seemed okay though she did experience a bit of itching.

A few days after this sex, the first (and most noticeable) symptom occurred with me: sexual dysfunction. I had trouble getting erections even when trying to have sex, which is not at all a problem I have ever had. A few days after this I had a slightly warm feeling when urinating: not painful burning, but a slight warm feeling. It also takes a few seconds to start the stream of pee at first, but after it starts it is fine. I HAVE HAD NO VISIBLE SYMPTOMS, none at all. My girlfriend did have some bumps but they disappeared quick with a cream prescribed by her doctor for yeast.

I went to my doctor and they listened to my symptoms. They thought it could be a UTI or bladder infection, but both came up negative after culturing my urine. They gave me Cipro to take to try and clear up whatever I had for 10 days.

After about 7 days of Cipro, I had better erections and I ejaculated once. This ejaculation was somewhat watery though it still was white-ish. I read somewhere this could be the case after an infection, so I thought maybe I am better.

After 9 days of Cipro, my symptoms have changed:

I am no longer experiencing erectile problems, it is back to normal.
I no longer feel any slight warm feeling when peeing

The ONLY thing that remains that makes me skeptical if I am totally better is I have a slight discomfort in the head of my penis at times. When I bump it with boxers or my hand, the head feels somewhat uncomfortable around the urinary tract. It is not necessarily pain but a weird feeling.

I suppose my question is if this head discomfort seems like anything to worry about? Is it likely that I just had a male yeast infection, and should I try any over the counter yeast medicines in case, or would the Cipro take care of this too? My girlfriend went back to the doctor this week because she experienced more itching, a bit of discharge, and small bumps. Her doctor gave her cream for the bumps and medicine for a yeast infection. The bumps cleared up fast with the cream, and after 4 days since she took the pill for yeast her itching has subsided some but not completely.

Does it seem likely at all that we could both have an STD, or is an infection likely? Do I need to worry at all about this slight penis head pain, or will this most likely subside?

I will be going back to the doctor eventually if it doesn't obviously, but I'd like an opinion.
