Yeast infection that causes open sores but sounds alot like herpes.....

Hi. A week ago I had sex and got a deep vaginal tear. After that, I got two painless sores that didn't ooze or anything. They were tender because I was touching them. I went to the ER & got tested for every STD there is. Everything came out negative & I came out with a diagnosis of an UTI & BV. I am now on two antibiotics, but two more sores appeared, but they are very small Is that normal with a yeast infection.? My old sores looks as if they are getting smaller.

I have the exact same thing! Dr said yeast infection, I am on fluconazole once daily. The itch stopped but the pain is awful only 2 more days, please pray and it burns like fire to pee. Lol the sores are hard to see. I know.

When I call the doctor to get an appointment .. What do I say?

I just told them I was having vaginal discomfort and then spilled the beans at the actual appointment. Be sure to schedule with a gynecologist as opposed to a regular doctor, that way they'll be ready to examine and swab you.

This all started when I had a sinus infection and took antibiotics. I started showing symptoms of a yeast infection. I had itching in my vagina as well as labia, vulva area with some thicker white discharge. I tried to clear it with yogurt for about a week but it wasn't working so I called my DR and she called in the pill to clear it up.

I took the pill (I'll call this day 1) and it kinda of helped but took another dose on day 4. The yeast infection felt cleared up that very day.

On day 5, I was experiencing some vaginal discomfort but I chalked it up to my pending menstrual cycle. I also stupidly had unprotected sex with my current sex partner of 4 months (not that it probably matters). I only have one sex partner, he CLAIMS the same. It was pretty rough sex but it usually is and I've never encountered any problems. It was pretty dirty and we did oral to vaginal and vice versa as well as anal sex. Everything appears to be normal afterwards.

On day 8, I get my period. I wake up on day 10 to some slight discomfort. The lower right side area by my vaginal opening felt swollen and tender. I thought this was due to irritation from using tampons as they tend to irritate the opening. I stopped using tampons but the tenderness did not go away. I began experiencing slight stinging when I peed the next day.

Today is day 14 and I went to the dr because I suspected I had a cyst since I had one 2 months prior to all this. The gynecologist took a look and immediately informed me I did not have a cyst. He said I had a large ulceration in the right side and a smaller twin ulceration on the left side. He said this is often seen with herpes and called it kiss twins or something like that.

I, of course freaked out and started crying. He did a culture swab and did blood work to test for HSV1 and HSV2 antibodies. He's pretty sure it's herpes so he prescribed antivirals and topical lidocaine. Honestly, it's not so painful that I would bother to apply the topical lidocaine but I filled the prescription just in case.

I'm just gonna note some things in this paragraph; been drinking a lot of water and peeing frequently but it does not burn or itch to pee; do not have body or head aches or swollen or tender lymph nodes; I have been running slight fevers on and off for the last 2 days; my ulcerations look the same to me as when they first appeared 5 days ago, they have not turned colors or turned to scabs. My ulcerations have always looked like raw, swollen bumps. I did notice a couple of pimple like bumps on both sides of my labia majora. I do not have any other bumps or ulcerations on any other part of my body.

That's all I can think of right now. I will have my test results in a few days so I will post an update as soon as I have some answers. I really hope it's not herpes!

Just getting over yeast infection and have sores, you can barley see but I can feel when I pee. This what you experienced right? Waiting for them to disappear on their own.

I've been experiencing the same thing for about a week and a half now and have a OBGYN appointment tomorrow , hoping my story ends out like yours . I was just wondering if you knew how tampins would effect it ? I just got my period today and am allergic to pads so I'm not sure if using a tampon will make it worse since it's not a yeast infection or if I should just use a pad and risk it .. This is probably the worst experience of my life and I would never wish this pain on anybody . I can hardly walk and using the bathroom is horrible . I've been in and out of hospitals and doctors with different diagnosis that haven't been correct yet and I'm really hoping tomorrow I'll get diagnosed correctly .

I am out of my mind! I am going on a week of not knowing what it truly going on with my vulva! Two general practitioners one gynacologist and a nurse practitioner says the blisters do not look like herpes they have ever seen! Mine are itchy but when popped they sting a little to the touch! Three swabs have now been done ! One wasn't a good swab the other I can't get results because the doc has been out if the office to give me results last swab done will be next week before I get results! I'm am ocd and petrified! I did test positive blood work for herpes 1 and 2 so what the hell have I got! I have had fever blisters which explain herpes 1 but never had the vagina problem! Herpes 2 can also be on lips mouth! This waiting is killing me they tell me last it looks like allergic dermitis!

I'm currently having a similar problem. Thought I was getting a yeast infection and now have little cuts and sores on my vagina. Hurt so bad to pee when it touched the cuts, went to the ER because my doctor couldn't see me right away and after having a urinalysis and it showing a uti and all kinds of bacteria, she decided to also do a pelvic. As soon as she looked at my vagina she says to the nurse "ya I'm gonna need a herpes culture" and I'm like "what? Are you sure that's what it is?" And she's like "well only the test will say 100% but I'm pretty sure" so then I proceeded to tell her that I have been with the same guy the last four years and only one other person before that who was also a long term relationship and I have been tested before for std's and she just said "really.." Like she didn't believe me. She was a b***h and I'm praying to god that culture comes back negative because I cried all night. I don't know how my boyfriend of 4 years would take that sort of news. Your story made me feel a tad bit better. Thank you

So I was/am experiencing the same thing but mine are bumps not openings ? But they looked down there and told me it looked like herpes and then gave me the same gel and pills as they gave you which I'm currently still taking . But plus before all that I just thought it was a uti and got prescribed antibiotics . So i have taken all them but still using the gel and the medication for herpes . But I'm still waiting on my results . All they did was a swab down there and that is it ? I thought for herpes you would have to get a blood test due to it being a virus in the body to make sure that is what it is ??? But after reading your story I am praying to god it isn't herpes . !! Just doesn't add up to be herpes .. But my luck it is . Soooo ya .. ! Hopefully I get as lucky as you guys . !

I am experiencing the exact same symptoms! If freaked me & my boyfriend out at my appointment with my obgyn today when she said she tested me for herpes just in case.. I'm 24 he's only 20 & neither of us have ever had an std of any kind. SCARY.. I definitely have a bad yeast infection & she treated me for it as well but I'm sure y'all know how nerve wrecking it is for both of us to reassure ea other that we haven't cheated & wander what's going on! 3 long days of waiting ahead of us.. I trust him & I pray he trusts me to know this is NOT herpes!
