Yeast infection that causes open sores but sounds alot like herpes.....

Dear Kay,
Don't know where you from or what you do? I am suffering from lots of sores and I had missed my period this month. A month of frustration and depression. Praying God that it should not be herpes. I can never undergo such a month again in my life. Praying that it should be yeast infection. Please pray for me all who read this post. It should not be herpes. Doctors took a swab test and one doctor said Yeast infection. Rest physically examined and say herpes.
Praying it should not be herpes. Kay your post gives me hope..

This page has made me feel a lot better. I started having yeast infections symptoms. I never had a yeast infection before so I did not realize what would happen if I did not take action. I went to the doctors when It hurt to walk and she told me to use the cream for yeast infections. She hardly examined my vagina and if she did she would of noticed sores starting to develop. The next day I was in an immense amount of pain. I called the clinic and asked to get the pill diflican instead because it would work faster and be less painful. It Hurt to walk and I got no sleep. I cried over the pain. When I had to pee it was unbearable. It burned so bad. I took a mirror to my vagina and saw all the sores and was completely freaked out. I live in a small town and it takes weeks to get a gyno appointment so I decided to go to the ER. Best decision I made. They gave me medication for the sores and another pill for the yeast infection. They also took about every test imaginable for STDs. I will know tomorrow if I have one. I am slowly starting to feel better. After 3 days of hardly any sleep I finally got almost a full nights rest. Woke up once to my burning angry vagina. This has been the most painful experience of my life. It was also quite scary because of the potential std factor. All I have to say is is something feels off go with your gut. Get a second opinion too.

I had this happen before, and it was a yeast infection and urinary tract infection at the same time. Worst pain ever!

I am literally going through exactly what you described and I keep leaning forward so the pee won't touch and burn. But my experience was worse in that, my doc wasn't seeing me cause she is booked but when I finally found a location, it was a place on Linden Blvd in BK. Advantage care. I live in Long Island. To whoever may live or around BK NY, don't attend there. I went in with no worries of herpes, I've had a yeast infection before and I felt certain it was that. Still I want a doc's opininon of course. So I go in and this new OBGYN dr. Kristen Layen (mispelling last name) literally took one look and gave me a visual diagnosis of genital herpes. She swiped the outer n inner vagina to test then we went to her office. From there she begins to go down the details about herpes etc. I cut her off to mention that I think I just caught either some type of infection/virus because I just came back from a cruise to Jamaica, Cayman island and Mexico. For some odd reason the water at the beach in Mexico was super dirty and I was dumb and still went in. I had already had a tear at the bottom of my vagina cause of the excessive sex prior with my bf. Oddly enough, this doc did not want to hear me out, not even for a half a sentence, "no no this is herpes." I sat there in shock and composed myself till I got in the car and cried my eyes out to my cousin for the next 6-8 hrs. Calling my bf. The only thing that made me feel slightly better is that I read online that it's super inaccurate and almost impossible to visually diagnosis something so general like herpes. Meaning it can be many other things and that it's common to mistaken symptoms for herpes. Prior to the vaca even half the vaca, no problems were occurring. Now I'm waiting for my results on my herpes blood test I gave today. And seeing a doc Monday though it's Saturday. Wish me luck and sure hope and pray I end on the same note as you did. *thumbs up*

Do like what they suggest after child birth- have a squirt bottle in the washroom... Fill it with warm water each time you have to pee... Spray it on yourself to dilute the urine and you'll barely feel it!!

I hate to say this Kay but there is still a chance you have herpes. Herpes is a difficult thing to diagnose if swans were used, they are very inaccurate unless the sores are fresh and there is enough virus on the surface of the skin to get a positive culture. Most doctors believe that herpes are typical ulcers or blisters but can come in the form of mild rashes or paper cut like lesions. I know because this is exactly what I have and it is herpes but it's not the end of the world even if it is.

About two weeks ago I noticed bumps near my vagina that itched like hell! I'd been itchy down there before and I figured it was from having the hair grow back. Then they turned into individual blisters and it hurt to pee and walk, especially when they oozed of blood and other stuff. It was only on the right side. About a week later, I started feeling nauseous. I thought I was pregnant since I did have unprotected sex with my boyfriend a week before. Then at night, I unconsciously scratched the left side and it sorta spread over. It looks like a rash and a few blisters so I went to a clinic and unfortunately, the nurse said it looked like herpes. I'd been putting Neosporin, Vitacilina, hydrogen peroxide, dabbing it with alcohol wipes (yes, it stung & not recommended by the nurse); nothing helped except the vaseline. She said the vaseline might make the swab test for herpes come out negative and said to come back IN THREE MONTHS to have my blood drawn and that I should get an STD test. I've only started being sexually active a year ago, and I've only have two partners in that time span. I also had a yeast infection. They gave me Acyclovir (1 pill, 3 times a day) and Diflucan for the yeast infection. A day after taking the pills, I feel much better! I really hope I don't have herpes. I can't stand the thought of that.

She also gave me a prescription for lidocaine 5% to numb the pain. I didn't get it because I don't have insurance and it was $297 at Walgreens.

I just went through the exact same thing. Three differnt doctors, pain, tears, no movement, begging for help... It seemed like nothing was going to help! All in a weeks time, I thought I was about to die. The last doctor I went to took samples of the sores and sent them off then gave me a viral medication for hsv. I'm one my second day of the medication and believe it or not, bairly any pain, after a week of thinking my vagina was going to RIP RIGHT OFF...

Did you get your results back from your doctor? What did she say it was? This is something I wouldn't put my worst enimy through, and I would love to know what you were told.
