Yes you can get a yeast infection if you have never been sexually active. Even babies can get yeast infections. Normally, women carry some yeast in their systems but it can flourish if you have a weakend immune system, use oral contraceptives, are on antibiotics or even wsit in a wet bathsuit or yes wear underwear that is not cotton. Wearing unwear that is not cotton can produce a yeast infection less than the other factors but basically if you were tight clothing or clothing that does not breath as well then you can produce a yeast infection bc you're not allowing any air to get into a moist environment.
