can you get a bladder infection from a yeast infection?

Loading...

You don't really get a bladder infection from a yeast infection, per se, but it can increase your chances, yes. If you have a yeast infection, it's likely that your small intestine down to your groin is infected with Candida. Many people also have it from their sinuses down to their groin. When this happens, many probiotics, or good bacteria, are depleted from the system due to the overwhelming acidic state and fungal infection. Because of this, bad bacteria are better able to infect the body, such as the bladder, since good bacteria may not be available in the vagina.

Hi there,

Well, to be honest this can happen (yeast infection can, sometimes, cause bladder infection) but this happens very rare so it is probably consequence of your yeast infection or you don’t have bladder infection at all.

Which symptoms (besides yeast infection) you are experiencing? If you are concerned that your medications aren’t working and that your infection is getting worse you should consult your doctor as soon as possible. it is not good to leave this condition just like that because it can cause some serious infections (such as kidney infection and urinary tract infection).

So check what is going on and rake your medications as prescribed. This is important because sometimes infection can reoccur due irregular taking of antibiotics.
