I am about 18 years old and my boyfriend (same age) and I had unprotected sex (one time). It only lasted a couple minutes and he thinks he pulled out in time. I am also on the pill but I might have missed a couple doses a couple days before we "did it".

We are freaking out because we are rising seniors and we have a LOT of things on our plates (academics, sports, and whatnot). Our parents are also very strict and we don't know how to tell them if I am indeed pregnant.

We had sex about 2 weeks after the beginning of my last period and my next one is supposed to arrive the week of the 13th (the week after next). I have been feeling some odd sensations in my lower abdomen (female reproductive area) like cramping and/or gas. That has caused me to feel like c**p all day (no appetite). I have also never went to the bathroom this often in my entire life. I wake up go, a hour later I go...I don't know if all of these signs of nervousness or pregnancy. I feel like my boobs have gotten larger and are slightly tender...but that might be all in my head. I am going to wait until my missed period (if it even does miss) to take a test. If that comes out positive, I'm going to have to tell my mom at least so she can take me to the doctor. is that the right thing to do? and suggestions on how to break the news? She works in the health industry...I think that is going to make it even harder to tell her. My boyfriend and I were REALLY stupid and we feel terrible. Now I can't sleep or eat a lot. I also stopped taking my bc pills incase I am pregnant...is that the right thing to do?

Thanks

i`m in a similar situation with my boyfriend in that there is a slight chance i MIGHT be pregnant and me and him are freaking out over every little thing. i feel sick or i have cramps or i get light spotting & we automatically freak out and assume i'm pregnant, even though if those things happened at any other time we probably wouldn't think twice about it. my best advice would be try not to worry or stress about it until you skip your period (if you do), THEN you can worry about it and deal with it. but until then, try not to let it bother you.
also, i've read that continuing to take birth control while pregnant won't harm the baby. so if you guys are still having sex, you should probably stay on the pill at least until you can confirm that you actually are pregnant.
