I am 24 and 8 wks preg. About 2 wks ago I started noticing that my mouth was getting unusually dry. It has now progressed, and this last week has been much more like when you have a dry mouth and throat from keeping your mouth open so you can breathe when you have a head cold. Problem is: Although my nose has been a little congested, it is more like a dry congestion..and partial... meaning usually i can still breathe out of at least one of my nostrils if not both.. but not really to what i feel is their full capacity..I am not having night sweats, but am warmer in general, enough to sweat at times but not much, but its happening when its 30 degrees out and we havn't had the heat on (the weather has been doing the yo-yo thing hot, cold, hot)..That seems odd for me since i am usually cold no matter what. It also seems to intensify my thirst..
I am up every hour or 2 urinating, because I am preg, and because of all the water I have to drink to remain somewhat comfortable in my mouth and throat. Most of the sites I have looked at have suggested that it is probably due to something more serious and that scares me .. this is my first pregnancy.... during the day this problem is not that bad. I don't seem to have excess saliva, (although i drooled on my self the other day)....i don't think i am leaving my mouth open enough at night to induce this kind of problem.. I am concerned that it is something more serious .. but I wonder if it could be anxiety, (I have read that somewhere else)..I have had some crazy vivid dreams and lots of stress (first preg, moving within the month back to home state i thought i'd never move back to, changing churches..health worries... alot going on)...or is it just plain old allergies.. The pollen count was 5000 down here and the prob seems to have gotten gradually worse during this latest pollen surge... Also i have what i believe and my OB without an examination agrees is a Sebaceous Cyst on my scalp. It's a hard lump under my scalp that is painless, but to the touch it feels like a "goose egg".. and it seems to have slowly gotten larger over the last month or so. Any chance all this is connencted.. I called my OB a few days ago and he hasn't returned my call yet.. This is kinda stressing me out and I haven't slept well in weeks... I havn't received the results from my first round of blood work yet.. This is my first preg. PLEASE HELP!
