Why would a 9 month old breastfed infant not gain weight, have high WBC's and metabolic acidosis ???

If your baby is exclusively breastfed, let me remind you that certain medications if taken by the mother, these pass on to the baby thru breastmilk. I am sure you are taking adequate precautions yourself. I would want you to take your baby to a pediatrician ASAP for a correct diagnosis and medication if needed. Checking your own food habits is another. Higher count of WBC also indicates that your baby is fighting an infection. I seriously recommend that you visit a healthcareprovider ASAP
