Hello. I am woman who is 20 years old and I am bearing a thought of going to acupuncture treatments. I know much about it, and I heard that it is a new treatment. Somehow, this doesn't sound to me like a new treatment so, I would want to learn more about it. Could you explain me its origin and history?

With the term new, people refer to it as newly available. It is a ancient Chinese practice that is five thousand years old (talking 'bout new). It was first introduced by an imperial doctor of some Chinese ruler. He wrote that Chi flows through your body (through meridians), and that it sometimes gets stuck. There are the points where the meridians reach the skin, so that is where the needles are being stuck to stimulate the flow of Chi.
