When I decided to try with acupuncture I was asked: what kind of acupuncture you decided to try? Japanese or Chinese? I was confused I don't know what the difference between these two is. I thought there is just acupuncture. Does anyone know which one is more effective? I have muscle pain type problem.

Well, the difference is that Japanese acupuncture is mostly based on meridian treatment while Chinese is mostly on organ patterns. In Japanese acupuncture thinner needles are used and needling usually is more superficial and without aching, spreading sensation during needle manipulation. I can tell you which one is more effective, I guess it partly depends on acupuncturist too.
