Hello. I'm 29 year old worried women and I would like to find out some information that will possibly calm me down. You see, I started to feel some symptoms that I've never experience before.
Thing that worry me the most is this heavy menstrual bleeding that occurs even besides normal menstrual bleeding.
I'm also experiencing this strange pelvis heaviness. Anyway, I'm not sexually active although my symptoms could indicate on possible miscarriage. A friend told me that my symptoms indicate on some condition called adenomyosis! Is this true?

Well, I can tell you that your friend didn’t lie. You symptoms really could indicate on this condition, especially if we exclude possible miscarriage.
This pelvic heaviness could be caused by uterine enlargement which occurs in this condition called adenomyosis!
Adenomyosis is in fact presence of normal uterine glands in uterus muscle where they normally shouldn’t be present.
Most common symptom is this pelvic heaviness because the uterus is often 2-3 times the normal size prolonged or heavy menstrual bleeding and painful menstruation. Symptoms usually resolve after menopause. A hysterectomy completely resolves symptoms.
